WQED Premieres New Local Programming Line-Up!

Beginning this month, WQED will premiere five new local programs every weeknight at 7:30.

The new programs are the result of extensive research and feedback from the community at large, Community Advisory Board; WQED producers and staff; funder; and Board of Directors. This new lineup delivers a diversity of programming to suit all tastes and interests.

“The Shot Felt Round The World” To Screen At The Three Rivers Film Festival Nov. 7!

In a film resonating with contemporary relevance, The Shot Felt ‘Round The World uses first-hand interviews from those who were there, and world-renowned experts such as Pulitzer Prize winning author David Oshinksy and Gates Foundations’ deputy director of vaccine delivery, Dr. Walter Orenstein, to tell the story of Dr. Jonas Salk and his research team who pulled together with a community and a nation which quite literally, rolled up its collective sleeves to conquer the most-feared disease of the 20th century.
